Walt Disney World

We had an absolutely wonderful time in Disney World over Christmas. The trip was a gift from Andy's parents. His dad retired this fall and it was also a celebration of that. Their generosity was overwhelming! Wow! And their patience and willingness to babysit the babes as us big kids rode the rides. Very selfless. Thanks a bunch for the awesome memories Dad and Mom!!

The Magic Kingdon was great! But definately the busiest of all the parks. We had beautiful weather and the kids did great! Favorite rides were Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain, and of course Pirates of the Caribbean.

Typhoon Lagoon is one of two water parks there. We had a great day. The "themes" of these parks are incredible. Right down to the light posts.

Animal Kingdom was definately a favorite of both of us. What a beautiful park. Cool rides and great shows. As you can see later on, our group became one of misfits with two scooters (Andy sprained his ankle bad a few days before leaving) and 3 strollers. Needless to say, we took a long time to load and unload from the buses.

MGM Studios was Andy's favorite. It didn't have much for the kids and we went there at night twice, so they all slept through most of it. We have very few pictures from it, as most of what we did was inside in shows or on rides that did not lend themselves to pictures (roller coasters, etc). This "Fantasmic" light and laser show was fantastic. For at least 10 minutes they had images projected on a wall of water. (see the Snow White mirror image).

Epcot was not our favourite park due to many reasons. However, one of the trips highlight for Andy was the Japanese meal we had as a family.

The first "Disney Character" Noah met - on our firework voyage the last evening we were in Disney.
I had a VERY long day on the return flight. Started with only 2.5 hrs of sleep, pushing Andy and Noah and managing all the bags through long airports, and dealing with the WORST airline company I have ever flown with - NorthWest Airlines. No one should EVER fly with them! However, despite all of that, Noah was great on the planes and Andy helped as much as he could. It was wonderful to get home after being gone for three weeks. Needless to say, we slept lots the next few days and did not go for many walks. Andy is now off crutches with only mild swelling and tolerable pain.

Looks like fun...except the part about the trip back. It must have been pretty crazy at times with three little ones. Was it cold, you guys are wearing sweaters in a bunch of the pictures. Hopefully Andy's feeling better now. That must have been a pretty bad sprain to need the scooter and wheelchair!
