Our 10th Anniversary Trip to Bonaire
Andy and I decided that our 10th Wedding Anniversary was special enough to celebrate in a extra special way. We flew down to Bonaire (island off the coast of Venezuela) for a week. I flew Noah to SK to spend the week with my parents (and various other relatives), then met Andy in Houston. Noah did absolutely awesome - didn't ever cry, played hard, slept fairly well, and just had a good time. Thanks mom and dad! We had a GREAT time (despite Andy's luggage not arriving until 1/2 way through the week). The weather was hot and humid, the snorkling was awesome and the hotel events were relaxing. We did not take that many pictures. Most of our time was spent in the water or relaxing in our apartment. The first shot is on our balcony. Second is the snorkling trip to Klein Bonaire, third is the jeep we rented.
Highlights were all "in the water". We swam with a few turtles, a reef shark, rays, squid, octopus, moray eels, thousands of tropical fish, saw some snakes, a shrimp, scorpion fish, and numerous other cool things. We also learned our new Settlers (card game for 2) game, ate a few really nice restaurants, and 4x4'd around the island after a tropical storm.

A belated 30th Birthday gift for Andy from me was a discover Scuba course. It was just a few hours, but he really enjoyed it. He did so well, that the dive master took him down to 45 ft (normally you are only supposed to go to 30ft). He saw a lots of Queen Angel fish (something he had really hoped to see), and of course other cool things. I guess when we are old and rich, he will likely try and convince me to try it too.

Our last night there. We were recommended a restaurant, called Richards. Very good choice. Right on the ocean, delicious food, great way to end the week.
